The V.I.S.Scena (vocal-instrumental ensemble "Scena") was founded in 1983 in Majdanpek (East Serbia). The members of the group are from Belgrade, Kragujevac, Pozarevac, Zajecar and Majdanpek. V.I.S.Scena plays jazz, funk and pop music. So far they have released two albums.
The first, called "Where did the moon go?" ("Gde je nestao mesec?) was published in 1994 for "Take it or leave it" from Belgrade (Serbia). Second album "V.I.S.Scena - V.I.S.Scena" from 2008 went out for "Goraton" from Podgorica (Montenegro) a few months ago, after 10 years of work, the band finished recording their third album called "You're not that" ("Ti nisi taj"), and it features 11 tracks.
The album will be released in the spring of this year. More than 30 musicians and lyricists took part in new songs that were recorded in four professional and three home studios. The first single, with two tracks, "Where did the moon go?" ("Gde je nestao mesec?") and "Show Me" ("Pokazi mi") was released on september 1 last year. The second single came out late last year years and it also contains two songs. The title track "You're Not That" ("Ti nisi taj") is a cover of Louis Armstrong's "Swing" - Pretty Little Missy "from back in 1955.
The pop ballad "Forever" ("Zauvek") was created in 1983 and is recorded only now in two versions as acoustic and electric. In addition to the promotion in the region, the band started a very serious promotion around the world. For now, new, and some old, songs broadcast in America (North And South Carolina, Kansas, Florida, Michigan, New Mexico, Iowa and California), England (London, Ipswich and Bollington) and more recently in Australia, Russia, France, Brazil, Scotland, Spain, Bulgaria and Italy. VIS Scena is currently on the playlist on Radio Indie International network with the new single" Show Me".
